Many of us were struck by the image of two young girls huddled around a smartphone at a fast-food restaurant parking lot, accessing its Wi-Fi to complete their homework.

We partnered with our friends at the Pat Brown Institute for Public Affairs at Cal State Los Angeles and the Nonprofit Finance Fund to release key information that will guide L.A. County nonprofits and stakeholders to meet the needs of our community.

Efforts that want to address homelessness would benefit from the voices of those who have firsthand experience.

The countdown is on to June 7 when Los Angeles will head to the polls to choose our new Mayor among a slew of other important positions.
